Villa Nissos is located about 500 meters outside the coastal village of Plakias, where many taverns, restaurants, cafes and various shopping facilities can be found.
The nearest sandy beach is also only about 500 meters away.

The village of Plakias was until a few decades ago a small fishing village with about 5 houses. Since the first hippies appeared there at the end of the 60's, the village has grown a lot. Today the village consists of about 100 houses and offers everything a recreation seeking guest could need. The village is located on the southern coast of Crete, in a wide valley that can be reached through an impressive deep gorge.
A 5 kilometer long sandy beach is located directly in the village. In addition, there are several smaller, beautiful and secluded beaches in the immediate vicinity. Behind the village the nature begins immediately. Plakias is framed by a landscape of sea and mountains with the mountain villages of Selia, Mirthios and Mariou.
