Villa Meli is a country house by the sea and offers the perfect setting for a group of friends, families who want to spend quality time together or even for a yoga retreat. To save you the stress of everyday life, we provide you with a chef who is happy to cook 3 meals a day, you only pay local prices for the ingredients. For lovers of nature, flora and fauna of Greece, the country house is the ideal location.

The private driveway to the rural property is lined with oleanders and lavender framing the olive groves. From the large gravel parking lot next to the house, the first view is of the sea and the magnificent villa.
A path lined with lemon trees leads to an inner courtyard planted with lavender with a fountain in the middle that springs from an old terracotta amphora.
Behind the courtyard is the outdoor kitchen and dining area with a six and a half meter long bar made from a single piece of eucalyptus wood, a barbecue, a gas stove, a sink, a fridge and a traditional wood-fired oven. The massive wooden dining table seats sixteen people under a bamboo pergola.
Behind the dining area is an outdoor seating area with four teak sofas overlooking the infinity pool. Behind the living room is a secluded area with a mini spa with oval stone tub and outdoor shower, which is used by the 3 bamboo bedrooms located behind it. These rooms are ideal for teenage guests or additional staff.
The entrance to the house features a rustic console table and an imposing, twisted, wood-framed mirror. To the left is the tastefully appointed kitchen with light gray cabinets and granite countertops, featuring a center island, gas range with oven, refrigerator, dishwasher and icemaker.
The living room has linen-covered sofas, rough-hewn coffee tables, a fireplace, a sound system and a large-screen TV. French doors with sea views lead out onto a large covered terrace with wrap-around benches covered with thick cushions. Through the living room is the dining room, which seats eight and overlooks both the sea and the infinity pool (12x6m). Both sides of the pool are lined with large teak sun loungers. For those who prefer their cocktails in the water, there are two teak tables and a large built-in sofa at the shallow end of the pool.

There are two bedrooms with two bathrooms accessible from the living room. One bedroom has a stunning view of the entire Ambracian Gulf and beyond to the mountains, the other has a view of the lavender courtyard, allowing the sweet scent of lavender to fill the room.
The floors throughout the house are covered with terracotta tiles.
A lighted external staircase leads down to the first floor. Four bedrooms, all with en-suite bathrooms, have large shower rooms lined with gray granite tiles. One guest room has a fireplace and all have their own veranda with tables and chairs separated by walls of flowering plants.
Below the main area of the villa, a stone path leads down to the open-air cinema, which is shaded by a Pernia tree. During the day, this wooden platform is an ideal place to read and relax. A small bar with sink and fridge serves both the cinema and the large terrace by the sea overlooking the private jetty. A small gate guarded by a statue of an Indonesian goddess (which doubles as a shower) opens to reveal the private pier with boat mooring and diving rocks for swimming in the sea. There are also 2 kayaks and a paddle board available free of charge for clients to enjoy themselves in the bay, and 3 bicycles perfect for exploring the villa's surroundings.

For our guests who want to relax and be pampered, we have set up a beautiful wooden massage hut where a qualified masseur offers his services and where you are guaranteed to feel completely refreshed.
In combination with the massage hut, there is a yoga terrace above the beach promenade, which is ideal for a quiet yoga retreat.
Further back amongst the olive trees is a large covered swing/bed, providing the perfect place for rest and relaxation away from the villa.
On the west side of the property there is a trampoline and table tennis table, both of which provide hours of fun.
A 1,000 square meter vegetable garden provides the property with vegetables and herbs, while pomegranate, lemon and fig trees are planted throughout the property. A vine arbor provides both shade and fruit. The 500 mature olive trees produce 10 tons of olives every two years, which are processed into extra virgin olive oil. The estate is also home to a family of hens that provide free-range organic eggs every day. The undergrowth is “mowed” by a family of deer that graze under the janitor's supervision.
The property has natural air conditioning... in the morning there is no wind and the sea is perfect for water skiing... in the afternoon the wind starts to blow and cools down the whole area.

The village of Sparto is located high above the Ambracian Gulf and about one kilometer from the estate. On a winding country road that leads through olive groves, you are greeted by a high stone wall with a large iron gate flanked by two huge stone urns with pomegranate trees. As you pass through the gate, you enter a landscape that has not changed for centuries.

In Sparto there is a restaurant and also a small supermarket for shopping. The nearest beach is approx. 1.9 km away.

However, there is sea access for water sports and swimming directly in front of the property of Villa Melia.
