The floor-to-ceiling sliding doors in the bedroom and living room allow plenty of natural light into the interior. The bathroom is equipped with a washing machine, so you don't have to worry if you need to do your laundry, which will dry in no time under the warm Greek sun.

Lie on your private sun loungers with a refreshment in hand in front of your private pool (15 sqm, 3x5 m) and enjoy the summer sun while taking in the majestic sea view. Villa Iris is located in the bay of Plakias, about 200 meters outside the small village of Mariou, where one of the best restaurants in the area is located, just a few minutes walk away.

It is a great place to explore the surrounding area, just 5 minutes drive from Plakias, while Rethymnon is only 40 minutes away by car. It offers the perfect mix for an ideal vacation: many taverns serving local dishes, dozens of terraces, water sports facilities and beautiful beaches all around. There are also opportunities for diving and horseback riding.

Also, the traditional village of Myrthios, where taverns and mini-market can be found, is only about 2 kilometers away. The coastal village of Plakias with its wide flat sandy beach is 4 kilometers away. The nearest sandy beach is about 3 kilometers from the villa.

Places worth visiting include the imposing gorges of Kourtaliotis and Kotsifou, the historic monastery of Preveli with its interesting architecture and the beautiful beaches of Ammoudi, Schinaria, Damnoni, Plakias, Souda, Limni Preveli with the palm forest beach at the mouth of the Kourtaliotis river and last but not least the traditional villages of Lefkogia, Selia, Mariou, Asomatos, Gianniou, Rodakino and of course Plakias.
