The entire property has been designed in such a way that the boundaries between the building and the surrounding natural beauty disappear. Completely without superfluous decoration, the view of the rocky coast of Crete is accentuated, the timelessly modern, monochrome interior blends harmoniously with the rough, wild landscape of Crete. The floors and minimalist furniture of light wood, combined with glass walls, steel and stone elements, allow a view without barriers. Nevertheless, the special thing here is the privacy - relaxing in the serenity of a secluded property and never getting enough of the endless blue of the breathtaking sea, with sea views even from the beds of all 3 master bedrooms.

Living room and kitchen:
The modern fully equipped kitchen with kitchen block is the heart of the living room, which is equipped with dining area and couches. The view through the glass front is also unique here!

Bedrooms and bathroom:
The first master bedroom, like the living room, is located on the ground floor, offers a private bathroom and through the wide glass front an unsurpassed view of the sea and the illuminated rocks. Two further bedrooms with private bathroom in the basement of the hillside house offer direct access to the pool.

Guest house:
A fully self-contained guest house for visitors with a French bed for two people and a sofa bed, which can be added for a fee, adds to the feeling of uniqueness in this impressive villa. Every detail represents a totally relaxed retreat for families and/or friends looking for rest and relaxation, in complete serenity and privacy.

Outdoor area:
Situated on the slope of a rocky cliff, the villa is integrated into the landscape in such a way that all natural elements are casually incorporated. Details, such as the large rock used as an element in the structure, or the small waterfall that connects the main heated pool (saltwater, 15 m long) to the smaller pool below, offer a place of peace and tranquillity just a few steps from the beach. Meanwhile, the glass edge of the pool makes you feel as if the water is flowing directly into the sea! Guests are invited to enjoy a feeling of harmony in the villa, an appeal to the Cretan way of life. Spacious terraces and balconies provide additional relaxation!

About the location:

The villa is located about 1.5 km outside the village of Livadia, where you can find taverns. The nearest minimarket is in the village of Chrisoskalitissa, 10 kilometres away. The spectacular beach of Elafonissi is only about 14 kilometers away and the next beach of Livadia (sand/stone mixture) can be reached after a 10 minutes walk. Villa Hermes is situated right on the cliff edge of the Cape of Koutoulas and offers a direct view from everywhere to the endless blue of the sea, the white pebbles on the beach, the green robinias and the black-red cliffs of the Cape.
 
The village of Livadia, Innahorion, located on the west coast, is 81 kilometres south-west of Chania and 35 kilometres from the town of Kissamos.
The village is located in the middle of the European E4 long-distance hiking trail (leading along the tarred coastal road to Elafonisi) - a coastal route of exceptional beauty that starts from the village of Kambos and continues through the villages of Keramoti, Livadia, Chrysoskalitissa and Elafonisi. The route represents the typical wild beauty of the rocky landscape of Crete thanks to the breathtaking alternation of olive and robinia trees and rocks of black and red lava formed by the sea.
In the village of Livadia, the food market still takes place in the traditional way - you can buy fish from the fishermen on the small harbour or vegetables, dairy products and meat from the farmers, but there are also three small taverns that even deliver food to the house. There is a mini-market in the village of Chrisoskalitissa, 10 km away, in the village of Kefali and in the village of Sfinaria, and supermarkets in the larger towns of Platanos and Kissamos. In the village of Elos, about 11 kilometres away, there is a petrol station.
Guests can, if they wish, take part in the daily activities of the villagers - charter a boat for a walk or for fishing, take part in the farming activities or in the numerous local festivals, collect grapes and kick them to make wine, learn how to make tsikoudia (Cretan local drink), etc. You will make friends with the friendly villagers, who consider foreign people as their guests and in this way you will get to know the tradition of Cretan hospitality.
A small sand/pebble beach can be found directly at the village.
